Major projects successfully implemented by JKVS
The Nai Roshani Programme was organized for women from minority communities with support from the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. The programme focused on developing leadership skills, self-confidence, financial literacy, legal awareness, health education, and knowledge of government welfare schemes. Participants were trained in communication skills, decision-making, community participation, and entrepreneurship development. The programme empowered women to actively participate in social and economic activities and become agents of change within their communities. Resource persons provided guidance on accessing government services and improving livelihoods through self-employment and skill development. By strengthening leadership capabilities and awareness, the programme contributed significantly to the social and economic empowerment of minority women. In this programme total 200 women were participated
JKVS facilitated the mobilization of farmers and farm women into Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under ATMA and NFSM schemes. The programme focused on group formation, leadership development, financial literacy, savings promotion, record keeping, and entrepreneurship development. Capacity-building sessions were organized at village level to strengthen group management and promote income-generating activities. The programme encouraged collective action, access to credit, and participation in government development schemes. SHGs became important platforms for economic empowerment, livelihood enhancement, and social development. The initiative particularly benefited women by increasing their participation in decision-making and improving household incomes. Total 35 SHGs were formed with different obejctive.
Jan Evom Krishi Vikas Sansthan (JKVS) organized Awareness Camps and Farmer Training Programmes under Harit Kranti Yojana in Kaushambi district with the support of Department of Agriculture to promote scientific and sustainable agriculture. The programme focused on improving farmers’ knowledge of modern crop production technologies, improved seed varieties, integrated nutrient management, soil health management, water conservation, and integrated pest management practices. Agricultural experts, scientists, and extension officials conducted training sessions, demonstrations, and field interactions to ensure practical learning. Farmers were also informed about government agricultural schemes, crop insurance, and financial assistance opportunities. The programme encouraged adoption of climate-resilient farming methods and efficient resource utilization to enhance productivity and profitability. Through continuous awareness generation and capacity-building efforts, the programme contributed to increasing agricultural production, improving farm incomes, and strengthening the livelihoods of rural farming communities across Kaushambi district.
The Farmer Field School Programme implemented under ATMA adopted a participatory learning approach where farmers gained practical knowledge directly from demonstration plots throughout the cropping season. The programme covered seed treatment, crop establishment, nutrient management, pest and disease control, water management, and harvesting techniques. Farmers regularly visited field sites to observe crop growth, identify field problems, and discuss solutions with agricultural experts. The programme enhanced farmers’ analytical and decision-making skills through experiential learning methods. It encouraged knowledge sharing among participants and promoted the adoption of scientific farming practices. By providing season-long guidance and hands-on training, the programme helped farmers increase productivity, reduce input costs, and improve crop quality. It also strengthened farmers’ capacity to adopt innovative technologies and sustainable agricultural practices for long-term agricultural development.This programme was supported by Office of Deputy Director Agriculture, Department of Agriculture Distt- Prayagraj.
JKVS organized district, inter-district, and inter-state exposure visits under ATMA and horticulture schemes to expose farmers to successful agricultural models and advanced technologies. Farmers visited institutions such as SHUATS, IIVR, IRRI, BHU, and IIISR, where they observed innovative practices in crop production, horticulture, seed technology, protected cultivation, and value addition. Scientists and experts interacted directly with participants, providing practical insights into improved farming systems. The programme enabled farmers to learn from successful entrepreneurs and progressive farmers, helping them understand new opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors. Exposure visits encouraged technology adoption, innovation, and diversification of farming systems. The Vegetable Demonstration and Crop Cafeteria Programme was organized to showcase improved production technologies for vegetable crops such as tomato and cucurbits. Demonstration plots were established at farmers’ fields to compare improved varieties and scientific cultivation practices with traditional methods. Farmers learned about quality seed selection, nursery management, integrated nutrient management, pest and disease control, and post-harvest handling. Crop cafeteria demonstrations allowed participants to observe multiple crop varieties under identical conditions and evaluate their performance. The programme promoted the adoption of high-yielding varieties and scientific cultivation practices that enhance productivity and profitability. Jan Evom Krishi Vikas Sansthan (JKVS) successfully implemented the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Skill Hub Initiative with the objective of enhancing employability and promoting self-employment opportunities among rural youth. Under this programme, a total of 240 trainees were provided industry-oriented skill training in six different job roles, namely Assistant Electrician, Solar Pump Technician, Hand Embroidery, Assistant Data Entry Operator, Assistant Customer Care Executive, and other allied skill trades. The training was conducted using a competency-based curriculum aligned with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) and Sector Skill Council standards. Participants received both theoretical and practical exposure, enabling them to acquire technical competencies, workplace readiness skills, communication abilities, and entrepreneurial knowledge. Special emphasis was placed on hands-on learning, assessment, certification, and placement support. The programme empowered youth, women, and disadvantaged groups by improving their employability in organized and self-employment sectors. Through PMKVY Skill Hub, JKVS contributed significantly to the Government of India’s Skill India Mission by creating a skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of emerging industries and local livelihood opportunities.
JKVS served as a training partner under the National Digital Literacy Mission to provide digital education to rural youth, women, farmers, and disadvantaged communities. The programme focused on developing essential digital skills, including computer operation, internet usage, smartphone applications, digital payments, email communication, and access to online government services. Participants received practical training through computer laboratories and hands-on exercises. The initiative aimed to bridge the digital divide and empower rural citizens to participate in the digital economy. Learners were introduced to e-governance services, online education platforms, and employment-related digital resources. By enhancing digital literacy and technological awareness, the programme improved employability, access to information, and financial inclusion among beneficiaries while supporting the Government of India’s Digital India initiative.
JKVS organized free CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) training programmes for students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) with support from the Department of Backward Welfare, Uttar Pradesh. The programme aimed to equip participants with basic computer knowledge and practical digital skills required for education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Training modules included operating systems, MS Office applications, internet usage, digital communication, cyber security, and online services. Participants gained hands-on experience in computer laboratories and were prepared for CCC certification examinations. The programme enhanced digital competence, improved job readiness, and enabled participants to utilize technology effectively in daily life. It also supported the inclusion of disadvantaged youth in the digital ecosystem and expanded their opportunities for employment and higher education.
Under AHVY, JKVS conducted baseline surveys and facilitated the formation of artisan groups and Self-Help Groups. The programme identified handicraft artisans, assessed their socio-economic conditions, and developed cluster-based interventions for skill enhancement and market development. Artisans received support for capacity building, financial inclusion, and access to government schemes. The programme strengthened institutional structures among artisans and promoted sustainable handicraft development.
The Design Development Workshop was a 30-day intensive programme aimed at enhancing the creativity and technical skills of embroidery artisans. Expert designers introduced new patterns, color combinations, product diversification techniques, and contemporary market trends. Artisans developed innovative products while preserving traditional embroidery skills. The programme improved product quality, market competitiveness, and income-generation opportunities for artisans, contributing to the preservation and modernization of traditional handicrafts.
JKVS organized the distribution of improved toolkits to 50 embroidery and terracotta artisans with support from the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts). The programme provided modern tools and equipment necessary for efficient production and improved product quality. Beneficiaries received practical guidance on tool usage and maintenance. Access to improved tools enhanced productivity, reduced manual effort, and enabled artisans to meet market quality standards, thereby improving their earning potential and livelihoods.
The Craft Bazar and Gandhi Shilp Bazar programmes provided marketing platforms for artisans to display and sell their handicraft products directly to consumers. These events promoted traditional crafts, facilitated market linkages, and enhanced artisans’ visibility among buyers and traders. Artisans gained exposure to customer preferences, market trends, and business opportunities. The programmes significantly contributed to income enhancement, preservation of traditional crafts, and promotion of rural entrepreneurship.
The Road Safety Advocacy Programme was organized with support from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to create awareness about road safety among school students and community members. The programme included awareness rallies, workshops, interactive sessions, poster competitions, and educational campaigns on traffic rules, helmet use, seatbelt safety, pedestrian behavior, and responsible driving practices. Participants were encouraged to adopt safe road habits and promote road safety within their communities. The initiative contributed to reducing accident risks and developing a culture of responsible road use among youth and the general public.
JKVS organized Entrepreneurship Development Programmes for artisans, farmers, and women entrepreneurs to promote self-employment and enterprise creation. The programme covered business planning, financial management, marketing, branding, digital commerce, quality standards, and government support schemes. Participants learned how to establish and manage micro-enterprises and access institutional finance. The programme enhanced entrepreneurial skills, encouraged innovation, and supported sustainable livelihood generation. It played an important role in creating employment opportunities and strengthening rural enterprises.
The workshop on e-Marketing, GeM Portal, GST, Artisan Identity Cards, and PM Mudra Loan was organized for handicraft artisans to strengthen their business and marketing capabilities. Participants received training on digital marketing, online product promotion, registration on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), GST compliance, financial inclusion, and credit access. The programme helped artisans connect with wider markets and improve business management skills, thereby increasing their competitiveness and income opportunities.
